Where will I find updates and information about Queers and Quills?

Are there more authors to be announced?

Our official lineup has been announced. The lineup is subject to change at any time. Any updates to the author list will be posted on our Instagram, Facebook group page, and website.

When will the schedule be released?

We will release the detailed schedule approximately 6-8 weeks prior to the event.  Updates will be posted on our Instagram, Facebook group page, and website.

When should I arrive?

Early registration will be available from Thursday night if you plan to arrive a day early. Programming begins on Friday

What travel information will I need?

The closest airport is Portland International Airport (PDX).  There is a tram that runs from the airport to the hotel.  Currently, the cost is $3/person.  Please send your travel questions to info@queersandquills.com

Is Queers & Quills only for LGBTQIA2S+ attendees?

Not at all! While we center and celebrate queer stories and creators, all are welcome, whether you're part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community or a proud ally.

Is there an age limit to attend?

Accepted Answer

Most Q&Q events are 18+ due to the nature of the romance genre. Some of our vendor items, programming, and signage will not be suitable for audiences under the age of eighteen. If we offer youth-friendly events or panels, we'll clearly note them.

Can I donate or sponsor the event?

Absolutely. If your values align with our mission, we’d love to collaborate. Please visit our Donations page for more information.

Do you offer volunteer opportunities?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We love our volunteers. A callout will go out closer to the event with info on how to join the team. Ticketholders cannot apply to become volunteers.

Where will tickets be sold, and will all tiers go on sale at the same time?

Tickets will be sold through a platform called Zeffy. Yes, all tiers will go on sale at the same time.

What does “MMR special edition” mean?

MMR is an acronym for Marley's Must Reads. Marley Valentine and Mahogany Mail co-curate for Marley's Must Reads Book Box, a book box for queer special editions.

Will the event be ADA compliant

Accepted Answer

We strongly encourage you to share your access needs with us when purchasing your ticket.  That will be your first opportunity to tell us what we can do to help make your experience better at the event.  We know that we cannot predict or anticipate every unique need so we will have open lines of ongoing communication with readers, authors, volunteers, vendors and all other attendees who express a need for accommodations.  Please note that most of the flooring in the venue is covered in carpet.  Please send your ADA questions to info@queersandquills.com

How many authors will I be able to see?

We can't guarantee a certain number of authors.  Leading up to the event, we will collect information from our readers and authors to help you meet most, if not all, of the authors you wanted to see.

Yes! We'll have pre-order information added to the website as soon as author's share them with us.

Is the Marley's Must Reads Special Edition Exclusive to the Event?

Yes it is. It will not be available outside of the swag bags.

Will the anthology be available to everyone, or only the 25 All Access ticket holders?

The Queers & Quills Anthology will be available for pre order to everyone attending, later this year.
